Authorize.Net is a payment gateway that enables merchants like you to accept credit card and electronic check payments via Web sites, retail stores, mail order/telephone order (MOTO) call centers and mobile devices. In other words, Authorize.Net replaces the traditional credit card swipe machine you find in the physical retail world. The gateway captures your customers’ payment data, including card number and expiration date, from your checkout form and securely communicate with the appropriate financial institutions for processing and automatic deposit into your merchant account.

Authorize.net's Weblink can also be integrated into your web page to allow customers to simply click the icon and continue making payment with their credit card, debit card, or check for your products right on your website. Authorize.net is certified with over 150 different shopping cart systems to make integration with your website very easy. More than 200,000 merchants trust Authorize.Net to manage their transactions, help prevent fraud, and grow their business.

**All product pricing is valid ONLY with a Sun State Merchant Services merchant account. For non-merchant pricing or to learn more about our merchant accounts and programs, contact us at 877.3.SUNSTATE**

Authorize.Net Payment Gateway Features

     "How it Works" Diagram

Step 1: The merchant submits a credit card transaction to the Authorize.Net Payment Gateway on behalf of a customer via secure connection from a Web site, at retail, from a MOTO center or a wireless device.

Step 2: Authorize.Net receives the secure transaction information and passes it via a secure connection to Sun State MErchant Services.

Step 3: Sun State Merchant Services submits the transaction to the Credit Card Interchange (a network of financial entities that communicate to manage the processing, clearing, and settlement of credit card transactions).

Step 4: The Credit Card Interchange routes the transaction to the customer’s Credit Card Issuer.

Step 5: The Credit Card Issuer approves or declines the transaction based on the customer’s available funds and passes the transaction results, and if approved, the appropriate funds, back through the Credit Card Interchange.

Step 6: The Credit Card Interchange relays the transaction results to Sun State Merchant Services.

Step 7: Sun State Merchant Services relays the transaction results to Authorize.Net.

Step 8: Authorize.Net stores the transaction results and sends them to the customer and/or the merchant. This communication process averages three seconds or less!

Step 9: The Credit Card Interchange passes the appropriate funds for the transaction to the Merchant’s Bank, which then deposits funds into the merchant’s bank account. The funds are typically deposited into your primary bank account within two to four business days.
